Foreskin Morbidity in Uncircumcised Males
Sneppen and Thorup, Pediatrics 2016
"In our patient population, we found that 7.2% (95% CI 3.4–11.0) were diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) as a concomitant disease (Table 3). A recent Danish study calculated the prevalence of ASD in Denmark to be 1.5% among boys."

Circumcision as Child Abuse: The Legal and Constitutional Issues
W Brigman, 23 J. Fam. L. 337 (1984-1985)
"This paper will examine the medical and psychological case against routine neonatal circumcision and will discuss the potential legal and constitutional barriers to treating the practice as child abuse."
5-year-old dies after circumcision at United Medical College Hospital (Bangladesh)
Childhood circumcision is essentially never necessary and carries a non-zero risk of death. Childhood circumcision is anti-medicine. It has been linked with increased rates of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.
"The first thing to understand is that there are Jews who will accuse you of antisemitism in a knee-jerk attempt to shut you up. I recommend that you ignore these people. As long as you aren’t expressing antisemitism and you can demonstrate that fact when challenged, this tired strategy will backfire."
Every now and then these news hit my inbox and make my day. My article on #Circumcision is now published in The International Encyclopedia of Anthropology. What is the medical evidence on non-therapeutic child circumcision?
Deacon & Muir, Int. J. Impotence Res.
"We conclude that non-therapeutic circumcision performed on otherwise healthy infants or children has little or no high-quality medical evidence to support its overall benefit. Moreover, it is associated with rare but avoidable harm and even occasional deaths."
#BookReview: Circumcision Scar: My Foreskin Restoration, Neonatal Circumcision Memories and How Christian Doctors Duped a Nation (2020) by Jay J. Jackson
Long-time gay rights activist Tim Hammond connects cultural fears of the intact penis with homophobia within this review of Jay Jackson's intensely personal book.
"What is revealed is experiences of shame are largely a consequence of demands of communities of respect where one’s social identity overrides one’s individual identity. ... the uncircumcised as well as those circumcised outside cultural dictates ... would suffer shame on account of having transgressed or overlooked their cultural responsibilities, which effectively delegitimizes their societal belonging."

A group of Americans asked intact men to identify the location on their penis that is most pleasurable to be touched. That location? The foreskin.
They asked circumcised men the same question. That location? The remaining #foreskin.
Infant #circumcision removes the most sensitive and sexually pleasurable tissue from a child without their autonomous #consent, yet provides no meaningful prophylactic effect.
I stumbled into a discussion about the pros and cons of male #circumcision, and it was slightly bewildering.
The discussion exclusively focused on whether circumcision 'reduces sensitivity' (i.e., affects the parts of the penis that remain). Evidence seems to be unclear.
Maybe it's too obvious, but there was not even a mention of the fact that circumcision completely removes sensitivity on the part that is cut off (i.e., the foreskin). So even if the sensitivity reduction on the remaining part is zero, you lose a lot of sensitive tissue.
It's certainly interesting from an academic viewpoint what circumcision does to the remainder of the penis. (You want to be able to tell patients who choose to or have to be circumcised.) But in calculating the overall loss of sensitivity, I think it would be fair to factor in the parts that are removed entirely.
