@helligbird I 100% recommend #ChronoCross if you've never played it. It's the best soundtrack of Mitsuda (and arguably of any game), it has fantastic art and a very engaging story. I enjoyed all the different characters, it give a Suikoden vibe, but the drawback is that character development is lacking. Combat is also a quite unique system.
I'd also go for #LegendofMana but it's a harder game to recommend. You either love it or hate it. I like to say it's more a Saga game with Mana gameplay.
Finished playing Chrono Cross, finally. It had been 2 decades since Iast played it.
While seeing the game with more experienced eyes, one thing that continues to fill me with joy is the absolutely amazing soundtrack. I still teared up the moment this track plays, at the end of the game:
After watching Dan Floyd playing #ChronoTrigger on #PlayFrame recently, I of course feel like abandoning what I'm already playing and distracting myself with that instead.
Well, I think I can save it for summer, but I was curious enough to start it up and check on my old #NintendoDS#NDS saves on my modded #3DS.
Aside from the one finished "regular ending" save, apparently I had two barely played NG+ saves where I went with a #DoctorWho theme for the character names.
Oh, of course I should mess around with a fresh New Game+ #ChronoTrigger save file before I give my copy of #ChronoCross that proper play it didn't get last year.
