A VIRTUOSO RIFF ON AN AMERICAN classic: the inimitable Percival Everett retells the story of Huckleberry Finn from Jim’s perspective, transforming it from a familiar picaresque to a more complex adventure and a meditation on code-switching. A MINUS
As usual, my light fantasy romance books (LGBTQ+ characters, positive rep) are on sale for all of June at Smashwords. DRM-free, and I’m happy to virtually assist with sideloading to your ereader if you need it.
And as usual, I will donate ALL my June royalties, not just from Smashwords sales, to an Australian LGBTQ+ charity (at the moment I favour the Equality Project, but am open to suggestions).
The Uses of Illicit Art (m/m romance) is my most popular book but I’d like to put in a good word for Fair Haven (m/nb romance) and Domesticated Magic (transm/m romance).
@ArdainianRight@lgbtqbookstodon@wendypalmer you can get any AI to make faggot prop... "learn how the LGBT community helped" then any thing you want prop about. as an example, "learn how the LGBT community helped form the furry fandom to attract children.” :nyancat_rain:
Book Review: Bitter Waters by Vivian Shaw A barrow wight turns up with a recently turned 11 yr. vampire. Dr. Helsing and friends search for the attacker, and help the kid adjust.
My #bookreview is brief/won't spoil, to spread good, great, & spectacular #horror#books far & wide.
💙📚 You may presume you'll know the story that unfolds in I THINK I'M ALONE NOW, but you'll be wrong as hell. I read this novella in a single sitting: Ali Seay has written a thoroughly enjoyable, vivid, violent, deliciously dark chunk o' horror set in the 80's that's, like, totally rad. (Grindhouse Press)
And if you haven't read The Way of the Wielder yet, no worries! You can buy your copy on Amazon now (or read it on KU for free): https://a.co/d/hRZOw8j
