@golgaloth I have, because it was a YA story and got a little too dark (this was before the advent of the current crop of spicy YA).

@wendypalmer There's this category called 'New Adult' which is where they classify YA stories that are deemed too spicy. But what even is Too Spicy these days?

@golgaloth I'd buy the story of the beast on the right. The one on the left is all about chasing tennis balls & getting lost & saving his master & travelling 2,500 miles in the winter to make it back to his home where little Billie has been morose and lost because Fido is gone... but wait, HE'S BACK. Fade.... The one on the right could be very interesting, leaping out at you as you make for home across the moors in night fog, barely hearing the sound of the attack, of your splintering bones ...
