@MnemosyneSinger When your faith in human nature starts to fail, some good people thankfully prop it back up.
What a great letter and thanks for posting.
I purchased a matador in 1983. The car dealer allowed me to pay $13 per week. About 3 months after buying it, I was hit by a car (walking) and was laid up for months. The dealer just forgave the debt completely. Didn't even have to ask.
@MnemosyneSinger the people most responsible for intransigence on debt forgiveness have a prayer that contains “forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors”. Well...
@MnemosyneSinger I love this, it’s beautiful. My own mother struggled with finances and I was playing a “cheap” low end saxophone that she bought me on credit back when I was in the 5th or 6th grade back in the early 90’s. She got behind on the payments and I remember the terror of hiding from a repo man that came banging on our door demanding the saxophone back. Eventually she got square and paid it off but I’ll always remember the struggle.
