Similarly, "If a German patrol found a wounded man, they were likely as not to cut his throat." However, if POWs arrived at their destination, they were treated well during interrogations.[4]: 131, 183–184

@augustus I worked with a guy once who told me that when his grandfather died they were going through his stuff and they burned all his photos because they found a bunch of pictures of him and his troop desecrating japanese corpses
