I really gotta figure out some way to get my brain to disconnect and make the switch from "at the computer desk for work" to "at the computer desk for fun." I get done with work and all I want to do is be Away from it, while still being at my computer to play video games.

@justanotherblue Some suggestions, if you're interested:

  • have separate work and fun logins. Log out of the work account and the fun account doesn't have any saved info for work stuff
  • take a walk when you sign off work and then change clothes. It signals a "status shift" to the brain

These two things work well for me!

@MsHearthWitch I do already have separate logins -- it's a work laptop vs my personal PC, just both using the same monitors. But I'll give thought to the walk/changing options.

@justanotherblue I think the walk and changing clothes ones is the one that has the biggest impact, personally. But everyone is different.
