Being #austrian means hating on the #germans because they seem so arrogant and at the same time admiring the #swiss because they are even more arrogant.
You don't have the right to speak for all Austrians.
No, we don't all hate Germans even if there might be - unfortunately - a prejudice about Germans supposedly being arrogant.
No, we don't all admire Swiss people. And I wasn't even aware that Swiss people are perceived as arrogant here and I have lived in Austria 99% my life.
If I - as an Austrian - don't get that it's a joke how is someone from another continent supposed to know that?
They might not know much about Germans, Austrians and Swiss people and take your post at face value.
And if people don't get that it's a joke then it's not a good one.
In the end, "Someone criticizes my post so I'll just claim it was a joke" is simply an old, tired and over-used excuse.
