yo #bookstodon does anyone have a recommendation for a history (need not be a book, could easily be a longread) of the Dark Wood Panel aesthetic of academia/old-ass dive bars/upscale steak houses/libraries?
@FeralRobots I realized it while sitting in a steakhouse in February and was reminded today. Now I am putting it out into the world, and I hope someone with access to a wood-paneled room (actual library edition, or writer’s bar in a pinch) makes it happen.
