Three boys say the IDF used them to shield soldiers from potential harm during an IDF raid on a refugee camp.
"They forced Karam to walk in front of them, open the doors to each room, & enter it before them. While they were walking, one soldier placed his rifle on Karam's right shoulder & fired two shots toward an apartment".
@DrALJONES@crmsnbleyd You can honestly not claim that. Both you and I didn't have any clue if the story is true b or made up.
However, given the fact that IDF soldiers in the West bank behaved so terribly that the USA posted on imparting sanctions on the battalions AND given that unmonitored soldiers in stressful situations then to forget the Hague and Genevre convention... I at least think the story is plausible.
In almost any conflict / war soldiers committed war crimes. Even from the "good" side. Like in Iraq be US soldiers that hunted and killed civilians from a helicopter. Or in the Likud/IDF induced pogrom onto the gaza strip some israelic soldiers. Like onto the kitchen aid group: killed all due to a mere similarity of one with a suspected terrorist.
So, instantly claiming "pure projection" without further data is a stretch.
I assumed that you claimed that article is full fake, that palestinians claim that the IDF is using human shields since this is exactly there strategy.
(Which is sadly is)
In any case: even if you only meant psycholigical behavior than my point still stands: we actually cannot now. So stating this "it's PURE speculation" like it is a fact is unsound.
Especially as you used "pure", which implies that no other motives could be in existence.
