Having trouble sleeping of late. Not sure why. Might be the light waking me. But I’m always awake around 5 and then I just doze for a bit until it’s time to get up. But I also have tinnitus that’s been quite bad of late and so have a quiet audio thing running on my iPhone every night.

Mrs G just send over a link to this: https://www.snoozeband.co.uk/products/snoozeband™-deluxe-sleep-mask-with-headphones

Tempting. Anyone tried one of these (or similar)? If so, any good?

@craiggrannell did you ever try this (or similar)? Tempted to get something to see if it helps but also worry the feeling of wearing it in bed will be enough to stop me from sleeping!

@rustypro I've not tried it yet, no. Tinnitus has reduced somewhat (or at least changed to tones that are less annoying). Light still an issue, mind.

@craiggrannell I just have audiobooks playing every night. Going for an MRI this weekend to see if they can do anything about the tinnitus.

@BenCotterill Good luck on that. It’s been a while since I had an MRI for mine, although that was down to a sharp/rapid untick in noises that spooked my GP. Nothing bad was found at least,

@craiggrannell i've been using these sorts of "sleep mask with built-in headphones" for ages now (as i like to fall asleep with ambient music but in-ear headphones always ended up uncomfortable). it's been great and i get to sleep much easier (also good for midday naps)

@craiggrannell my wife uses similar every night and feels like she is sleeping better for it. Another option is a regular sleep mask and sleep buds like the Soundcode Sleep A10s, which I use and really like.

@craiggrannell
I have a Bluetooth AccousticSheep and it's pretty good. Basically same principle but a bit thinner, though still thick enough to use as an eye mask. When I use it, I often play Max Richter's Sleep album on low volume.

Mind you there is a lot to be said for blackout curtains. In my opinion sleep masks and summer temperatures aren't always ideal companions :)

@emmatonkin The bedroom has a blind, blackout curtains and then thick curtains over the top. I’ll take a look at the eye-sheep. :D
