LB anti-maskers at the beginning of the pandemic: bodily autonomy!!! You can't tell me what to do! Everyone should have free choice over what we put on our faces!
Anti-maskers now, when most immunocompromised people have given up on trying to get others not to kill us and simply avoid people and wear masks if we have to go out in public: no not like that
Like, I can understand the appeal to bodily autonomy re: not wearing face masks. I don't like it, and people refusing to wear masks in high-risk situations are being careless with other people's lives, but I at least can understand it.
But trying to make it illegal for immunocompromised people to protect ourselves in a way that harms no one? Stripping away our bodily autonomy by not letting us decide what goes on our own faces? Quite literally mask off in their ableism/eugenics
