Unless Apple is about to announce that you can choose to install macOS on iPads at WWDC (or a huge overhaul of iPadOS), the pricing of the new iPads is pretty wild.

    @schwa absolutely true! I love my iPad and use it regularly. I’m kind of hopeful it means something is shifting.

    @schwa @tonyarnold if you don't need a terminal, do you really need a $2300 tablet?

    Also, showing the 18gb macbook price is a lie. That is about enough RAM for one browsertab nowadays.

    @tonyarnold @thomasfuchs I priced one up earlier, and I literally said the same thing to my friend about it. Even with a trade-in, nope, not worth it to me - unless I can suddenly use macOS on the iPad when I want to switch contexts.
