Since I run with mostly hackers and people who are more tech savvy, privacy conscious, I find myself in a situation where about 90% of my (personal) contacts use Signal as their default, but the other 10% prefer matrix but will use signal on specific occasions (ie when we attend events together we have a signal group).
I guess for most people this would be like Whatsapp or normal SMS vs Signal, but I dont touch SMS, and only use whatsapp for scambaiting.
