So I’m ripping these #FinalFantasyVIIRemake soundtrack CDs, and good lord I cannot help but feel how commodified streaming services have made all kinds of content. It’s not a physical media thing, I don’t think; I just feel like the embarrassment of riches becomes so diminished and trivialized in ways I cannot exactly articulate.
Quick cut from the #FinalFantasyVIIRemake soundtrack: “Tightrope” is still one of the best battle tracks. Breathtaking, bombastic drama and above average melody, at least to my ears
Finally figured out why “Maze of Scrap Metal” is such a special track: it goes hard on industrial pipe percussion; the logical extension of certain industrial sounds from the original soundtrack
