@schotanus I see a future for it outside of cities or city centers. Robot implicates that it needs predictable and repeatable surroundings to function in a cost effective and safe way. I believe that older, pedestrian, and cyclist heavy areas are unfit for that purpose. But highways and regional roads are perfectly suitable for that.
An embrace of the technology with a clear vision of its inabillities may lead us to more human friendly cities and less cars.
