Sometimes a random Roy Orbison song pops in my head and I love it. Roy passed when I was only 8. But that's how powerful that dude was. His songs still pop in my head, despite the fact that never really actively listen to them. That's art. That's eternal.
@jake4480 Roy was one of the few musicians my dad would play thatI just didn't get. Too sad i think. Same reason I don't get Lewis Capaldi.
Queen. The who. The kinks. The animals. Moody blues. Manfred Mann. Dire straits. Chris rea. Jerry Rafferty. Joe Cocker. The Beatles. Billy Joel... My brain is getting sleepy so I'll stop there. Plenty to like though.
@spytfyre you're right though, Orbison's stuff is so sad. And I usually avoid the sad because of my depression. I'm not sad or lonely but of course the song that was in my head was 'Only the Lonely' 🤣
@wendigo that VOICE. And in the Wilburys too. Magic. It was probably some my parents, my dad loved him, he always had the "oldies" (kinda hate that term) station on the radio and I hears a bunch. Then in my car when I'd play those stations. And at work where they'd play those stations. 😂 and I still don't hate the songs.

@wendigo do you go down to South Florida much or the Keys? You mentioned Hemingway right? I saw his house! The Keys are so beautiful. I'm obsessed with Key lime pie and had the LEGIT shit down there haha. My favorite part of Florida. That and Hollywood. I lived in Hollywood a bit. And my folks are near Ft Laud. Haven't been in a lotttta years. 14?
@jake4480 I can't remember the last time I was in South Florida. Probably when my brother worked down there. I've seen a show or two as well. I like it. I don't know anybody down there, and I'm not much of a tourist. I would love to go to the Keys, though. Yeah, OG key lime pie is most excellent... ;>)
