Too bad the #WaPo didn't bother to mention WHO, exactly, is raising the rents on the seniors in these mobile home parks: It’s Private Equity (PE) firms — all run by Right Wingers / Trumpers — who have been gobbling up real estate across the nation since 2020 and are at the root of the housing crisis:
@Dhmspector Rewind a little further: Bush2 real estate bubble burst 2008. Millions who'd been given predatory mortgage loans by banks, guaranteed to end in foreclosure, lost homes. Millions of then bank-owned properties did NOT drop in value: no supply and demand free market in sight. They were kept at bubble price as bank "assets". With Obama's bank bailout $$$, banks called their flush real estate investors and deals abounded, turned into rentals for people who'd lost homes to foreclosure.
