The thing I have never been able to figure out about people who insist DEI is a waste of time is why they think people who are not interested in learning how to treat other humans they work with respectfully and in accordance with their wishes think those same people will somehow treat a faceless corporation respectfully and in accordance with its wishes.
I mistakenly remembered this as the Brown M&M theory but I think it works both ways. Brown M&M were a warning about bad process and not complying with the contact.
