Huge disclaimer here. I'm writing something and publishing it daily in February while juggling some family things. Some days might be a list of things, and others might use Grammarly more on autopilot+apply all, but I suspect everything will even out over the month.
@webology Thanks for listing the Django apps you find useful! If you have a few extra moments, just a one sentence summary of each app on the list would be helpful ✨
@tbaxter Will do. I'm trying to publish every day in February, but solo parenting + caring for my other half (surgery last Thursday) so compromises were made :) (everyone is fine, but it was a long four days)
@tbaxter That's why a few lists might make their way out vs. pieces I can spend some lunch cycles on.
I'm using the micro.blog to separate from my blog mentally. I'll probably port them all over eventually or maybe it'll shape what I want to turn my blog into.
@FunkyBob yay, I'm glad there were some new ones there. I didn't quite have the time an energy to dig into them but I'm trying to write all month so I am hoping there is more time.
More often than not, I'm using django-allauth to get GitHub or some other outsourced auth to work. So it's a nice hammer for side projects.
I'll check out sniplates. I don't remember running across it before.
@FunkyBob@kfdm python-social-auth is good, and I used it for a decade(ish). I remember having a few non-trivial upgrades and feeling underwhelmed by docs. I might be misremembering a settings change or some templates not quite being as easy to start new projects with.
I have flipped between python-social-auth and django-allauth over the years, but I found django-allauth easier to start with and customize for a few years.
