@GhostOnTheHalfShell That last sentence has become a quasi-religious war in my world. Theoretically, yes, judicious sampling is good and sufficient; but it opens a big risk in missing the one data point that shows a massive problem.

Pricing all data as 'high-value' is the real issue, I think. Buyers want vendors to price for data value, not just data volume.
