@jeffjarvis A few years ago I got criticised for being so sweary, which puzzled me, so I asked what it was I said they found offensive.

"You say 'bloody' all the time"

I had no idea that bloody was considered a swear word. I thought it was just "British".

@jeffjarvis I’m old enough to remember when “fuck” was a profanity-too-far in Hollywood. Now it’s almost a script prerequisite. I’m waiting for same in TV and journalism.
