@robb I filled out the form on Netcraft and got the following reply "Thank you for contacting us.
We have reviewed the site and agree that it was incorrectly identified as phishing. We have now halted the takedown process and sent retraction messages to all parties contacted. We have also removed the site from our phishing blocklist.
Not a fucking chance I'm taking the post down. My guess is the clowns who made this "report" don't have a single human reviewing anything before they send reports https://www.netcraft.com
> Thanks for sharing that update. It looks like this was a false positive, sent over via Netcraft. There's no reason to worry, this won't be suspended. Sometimes, entities will go through these brand protection agencies a bit overzealously.
"no reason to worry”. OH REALLY. in the bin with you.
@robb on my profile there’s ref link for hetzner cloud. Ref link gives you about 20 free bucks and I highly recommend them. My entire instance is hosted on their ARM cloud!
@robb If you’re not hosting with Netlify et al, what does your build process look like? Do you build then upload, or do you have some fancy shmansy thing going on that builds on the fly from git?
@kev So now I’ve moved most of my Eleventy/static sites to Netlify. For everything else I’m using Laravel Forge which manages PHP versions, SSL, crons and some other stuff. It listens for pushes to GitHub and then runs the build scripts (usually just npm run build)
@mcg Ive moved to Hetzner. No idea if they’ll be better but I’ve used this as an opportunity to spread my sites around a bit. Previously everything was on one droplet on digital ocean.
@robb Outrageous, but an unfortunately typical demonstration of what happens when there is such a huge discrepancy in the balance of power. The ones you are trying to defend yourself against have effectively unlimited resources - and just don’t care if they are wrong - what are you going to do about it.
@robb Translation: "No reason to worry, we only would have nuked all of your things out of existence without a second thought or even looking at what was being claimed"
