@b0rk I think it wants the text to be there (for accessibility at the least). Do you think that some ordered lists could help people who may struggle with images?

Joke Hoogeduin might be an ideal person to ask about publication accessibility, but even they might be PDF specific. They are also not (AFAIK) on Mastodon.
@b0rk Good luck with this... I've always had a lot of problems just reading epubs (from pro publishers) with lots of images in them regardless of reader application used etc, and at times had to make things slightly better with calibre conversions when originals were unusable otherwise, and finding good setting was largely accidental... PDF/CBR/cbz seem to be universally better experience on all devices for pure image books.
@mira thanks -- will definitely ask for feedback from readers to check if the epubs are actually helpful at all. PDF is still going to be the primary format.
If it's only images, then epub is not the right format. But then, if it's only images, and the images contain text then that'll pose accessibility issues.
There are some comic formats, that may be suited for image only.
