What about an update? Did you already do? Any results/experiences? Really interested in your feedback.
@case2tv Ah, forgot about that. If I remember correctly the problem was the lack of a good email client on Linux. I’m migrating back from spit Hey to FastMail now (already moved my personal, going to move the Small Technology Foundation accounts this weekend) and the reason is they have a good web interface and apps on various platforms.
Otherwise, though, they seem like a solid email provider.
@aral Appreciate your feedback. But going back to an Australian provider with rented US only servers... Thought you will go another way? Why no Protonmail, Tutanota or something similar?
Overall I'm with you - Fastmail is a decent provider!
What I really hate are providers that f**k around with customers' eMails like @protonmail and @Tutanota when the only good and correct way to #E2EE is #SelfCustody.
Or worse: Providers that prevent the use of #IMAP4, #POP3 & #SMTP at all!
And I don't mean like #paywall it...
