@Dwemthy Thanks. I think overall the XML is better than the kotlin. But there are still sometimes surprises.

@Dwemthy I think you may be joking but what I mean is data-driven/declarative interfaces are better than programmatic unless you're doing something special.

@mcc 100% joking, use the tool that works best for your use case. I like Compose and it feels quicker to me than xml so I wanted to suggest that as an option.

@mcc i took a combined undergrad/master's class on writing and editing XML files, so 'really hard' seems like an understatement.
