    @JoeRess what's the audience for Bad Voltage these days?

    Also - a bit of a stretch maybe - but FOSS Weekly has a regular audience that touches but seems distinct from the Linux podcast listenership.

    der_erpl,

    @JoeRess Are JB podcasts now considered crypto podcasts? ;)

    @JoeRess Hey Joe, we’d love to have you on our #FocusOnLinux show (https://focusonlinux.podigee.io) in December if you’re interested. We’re a bi-weekly podcast, mainly German but also English from time to time. A lot of our listeners also listen to English podcasts so it would be a great shoutout for your projects. For December we’re planning a advent calendar with people from other podcasts.
    Feel free to reach out! :)

    @stdevel I see your episodes are very long. Would I have to talk for 90+ mins?

    lipservice,

    @JoeRess @stdevel If you ask me, I would love to listen to two of my favourite hosts in one place. 😇

    stdevel,
    @stdevel@chaos.social avatar

    @JoeRess No, for the calendar we want to have shorter episodes of 15-20m max. Nobody wants to have daily episodes that long. And I know you’re a person of short episodes as well :D

    @stdevel OK cool. What's your stance on crypto?

    stdevel,
    @stdevel@chaos.social avatar

    @JoeRess I avoid anything that’s related to it as it’s mostly scam.

    JoeRess,
    @JoeRess@fosstodon.org avatar

    @stdevel OK cool. How do we make this happen then?

    stdevel,
    @stdevel@chaos.social avatar

    @JoeRess I’ll drop you an mail with all the details later :)

    @JoeRess

    @DestinationLinux

    @linuxotc

    and/or mintCast (old stomping ground?)

    flakm,

    @JoeRess how about @changelog? Audience overlap is probably smaller than with other Linux podcasts and honestly I'd love to listen this conversation.

    pparidans,

    @JoeRess have you met @BrodieOnLinux ? 😇

    nicemicro,
    @nicemicro@fosstodon.org avatar

    @pparidans @JoeRess @BrodieOnLinux a Linux podcast between an English and an Aussy YouTuber would be something I'd enjoy consuming, for sure!

    @nicemicro @pparidans @JoeRess I'm happy to have anyone on

    @JoeRess @pparidans People wanted the option to donate crypto, I gave them the option, not sure what the harm is.

    pparidans,

    @JoeRess @BrodieOnLinux as far as know, I see him as an open minded person (cf. the TechOverTea interviews), hence my recommendation

    @JoeRess with Nick at @thelinuxEXP or join a session of Linux Saloon with (among others) Nate aka @CubicleNate

    bobthcowboy,

    @JoeRess @badvoltage ? (You're buds with @sil ?). I suppose there may be plenty of cross polination already...

    @JoeRess I would like to see you interact with the Destination Linux folks

    der_erpl,

    @joel @JoeRess +1 I had the same thought.

    nicemicro,
    @nicemicro@fosstodon.org avatar

    @joel @JoeRess I second that. It is so weird, that the LNL and DLN folks never even mention each other at all, it is almost like they live in different parallel universes, but somehow we get the podcasts from both.

    @JoeRess tbh I was going to suggest something stupid. But it was an interesting question so I thought about it. The only overlap that would be more popular than your own shows (non niche…so no model train podcasts or whatnot) would be gaming. Gamers are the optimal audience. Maybe drop Gamingonlinux or the Steam people a line to see if they have recommendations.

    @JoeRess Fedora podcast, particularly an episode on immutable spins 😀
