I don't really use Twitter. Is there a usable alt-text available?

BTW, I can't help but notice that the #Mastodon link processor doesn't seem to include alt-text even though it nags you to include alt-text when you're inserting your own image.

My only reaction to the website formerly known as Twitter is "Please die already."

Hey, Musk can afford to lose the ENTIRE $40+ billion. Too bad I don't think he is capable of learning anything from his biggest and "bestest" mistakes. But Twitter was a sewer before I left and from all reports has only become worse and more harmful since.

This is factually incorrect.

Continuing to call it Twitter serves one purpose by those who do it: To convince yourself that Twitter is not dead and gone. Well, bad news Sunshine, Twitter is dead and gone. You are participating on X (aka Muskbook) and you need to come to terms with that. If you can keep doing it and still look at yourself in the mirror ever morning, that's fine, but at least have the honesty to call the product by it's correct name.

God help me, I think I might be with him on this one given how many of those links are paywalled, clickbait, or both. Not that I think the result will be more than posters merely adding the headlines themselves for the most part.

Actually, it's kind of a genius move to keep people on Twitter more. If all you have is a post with no title, what are the chances that you'll click on it and be taken out of Twitter?

@arstechnica Oddly enough I only see the images for your links on mastodon too. No titles besides what you write in your posts. I do see titles for other news outlets though.
