I'd kind of like to move to a #Fediverse instance with first-class support for #Tor access (i.e. having an onion link) (#I2P is fine too of course).

I don't want it solely accessible or visible through Tor though.

I'd like for it not to be blocked in too many places and I need #MastoAPI support (unfortunately most clients require that).

Any recommendations?

@RecursiveElegance Not sure where in particular, most of my old resources seem to be gone now.

But generally for #Tor users it's an annoyance as its anti-bot measures are very user-hostile.

It also makes mandatory to enable #Javascript in one's #browser, which in general but especially in conjunction with #JIT is a #security hazard.

Depending on the settings used, it can also act as a general #MitM attacker.

@RecursiveElegance Sites covered by #Cloudflare captcha can also block non-web clients like #RSS readers, as I discovered with Medium (I was trying to bypass its interface nagging & nonsense, so I figured I'd check its support for #webfeeds).

RSS readers do not typically implement interactive web display, so even if they had a #Javascript interpreter, it is impossible to answer the captcha query. This breaks the endpoint entirely.
