Since it's been a while since I built a blog from scratch I turned it into a TIL - mainly to remind myself not to forget to implement social media cards next time!

(Publishing this s a TIL rather than open source code takes off some maintenance pressure)

@simon Out of curiosity, is there a reason you don't use class based views like ListView or DetailView? Or is it because these pages are currently very simple?

@kfdm yeah, I really don't like class-based views - often when I've used them I've later regretted it

@simon @datasette I’m torn between thinking there should be a good Django blogging platform with nice templates. And thinking I’d do exactly what you did and roll my own.
