@InayaShujaat
I’m sure New Zealand would be thrilled if millions upon millions of also targeted Americans joined you (sarcasm).
Truly, I’m happy you feel safe and able to be free of this mess. You are very fortunate that way. Maybe that puts you into a position to help those still here and targeted? That said, everyone has to live a life that lets them look themselves in the mirror every night. Keeping your daughter safe is important.
@Katma I’m only in a position to help my own family. I’m a nobody, and no one cares what I say, think, or do.
My family made some sacrifices to come here. Pay is less, expenses are higher. But we are safer.
NZ is perfectly fine with us being here, and would be happy if more came. There’s actually a worker shortage here. NZ also takes a lot of refugee. Percentage-wise, a helluva lot more than the US does. It’s a small country, with a lot of refugees.
@TruthSandwich I am an American, I just got the hell out because the politics personally affected me. I wasn’t just standing on the sidelines, thinking, “well, that’s shitty for that group.” I was that group. Female. Muslim. Married to an immigrant. Mother of a daughter.
Too many policies that go against me and my family.
@TruthSandwich And open about it. That’s really the only difference between his brand of islamophobia and the one that’s practiced by Dems. He was just open about it, and used it to shape domestic policy. Dems aren’t that bold. They only express their islamophobia through foreign policy, and saying passive aggressive things that imply that all Muslims know at least one terrorist. 😳
