    1. the Digital Goods Alliance is not a trade association like the Linux Foundation is

    2. OpenOffice.org is at the Apache Software Foundation (a charity that services the public, not any corporate or individual interest)

    IIRC, @rachel_norfolk asked that question (or at least raised the issue) in their tracker discussing the application, but it was never answered....

    I helped write the DPG Standard. It was designed to designate important FOSS projects specifically designed to help achieve the UN Sustsinable Development Goals.

    We already have a way to designate FOSS projects and that's an OSI/FSF approved license.
