That's not something I can comment intelligently on, although perhaps @benjaminhollon or definitely @sotolf could.

I know they added some features to vim, like Language Server Protocol (not sure what that is) and Lua scripting.

I honestly can't even remember why I switched, but I'm liking it so far.
