🧶🧶🧶 FRESH! 🧶🧶🧶

Knitterati, check out this designer, quite inventive colorwork, impressive! And so fresh, I haven't seen this distintive design direction anywhere else. By Linnea Ornstein. Happy browsing!

I have some of my handspun lined up to make this, I'm just trying to decide what to spin for the background color!

Ramson. I just spun something in purples, pinks and golds that is shorter and somewhat random-length color repeats. But I like a lot of their patterns.

This is Inglenook Fibers, colorway "Esther"

ETA: it didn't let me post two pictures, argh.

@westerling PS totally my kind of colors, too! How about a soft cream white? Or an earthy green for MC?

@KarenStrickholm

I was thinking along the lines of an earthy light green. IF has a few colorways that might do it. Green is my favorite color, but I have to be careful about how much yellow it has in it...I have olive-tinted skin and yellow makes me instantly sallow.

@westerling This isn't the one but maybe an option? Color could be way off, seller can provide better pix usually. Sweet yarn deal anyway,

The Sanguine Gryphon is pretty close to the color in my mind. I miss them, they always had such great yarn. I'm going to spin something, though, hopefully on the same base, which is this very luscious mix of Merino, brown alpaca, camel and silk very soft and spins like a dream. The overdyeing of the brown alpaca, with the other fibers being white in contrast, adds so much depth to the colors.

@westerling I didn't know them. I stopped knitting long ago, just came back to it recently - so much has changed. Am now re-creating a stash. This addiction is real, I tell 'ya!

@westerling That's weird, you should be able to post 4 pix max per toot. What Mastodon app do you use? I'm using one called "Moshidon Nightly" and I love it. "Nightly" bc updated every night. Very responsive developer too, a young guy.

So on to your spinning - WOW!! You are so good at this!! Beautiful colors and loving the twist you achieved. Can't wait to see this on your needles!!

It looked like both uploaded but then I wrote the text on one, saved it, and then the other picture was gone. I didn't have time to investigate, so I went ahead and posted two replies. It was on the desktop, I haven't downloaded an app to my phone yet because I spend too much time on my phone already, lol. Good rec tho, thx.

Thank you, about the spinning. I find I'm much more consistent when I just let the fiber do its thing and not try to force it into something.
