MichaelPorter, Cool #iPhone and #AirTag thing I learned the other day - An AirTag can act like an NFC chip (I guess it is one, plus some fancy packaging). So I wrote an automation that starts recording a walking workout when I tap the AirTag on my non-car-keyring (the one I bring on walks), and pauses it when I tap again on return to the house. Seemed to work okay - I've added some notifications to indicate that the workout app (Footpath, in this case) is actually paused, as it wasn't obvious.
One thing is kind of glitchy - The scan quality is strongly affected by the presence of metal, in this case the keyring itself. So it's a little awkward to scan. I have to keep the rest of the keyring as far as possible from the phone while I'm tapping or it won't register.
