@santiago "The UN" not just the USA would have to give up in Pusan... and what makes you so certain that the forcefully united Korea in your alternate history would not have turned out like the DPRK (a totalitarian shit hole) today?
And you can have the same though experiment with the PRC not entering the war when the situation was reversed but you don't admonish them for some reason.
