There's some diaspora #Asians on Vancouver Island (and several other places in Global North) who have severe #InternalizedRacism, to the point that they're not just #indoctrinated into #colonialism & capitalism but they're so self unaware of internalized racism that they don't even know when racist white folks #tokenize them to defend/justify racism & use them to push WS beliefs on their own peoples.
I lose my fu*king shit around Asians like this. They harm us Asians who fight for human rights.
Why do #racist#politicians join cultural associations in their local areas - when they've ignored that cultural community for years prior to trying to gain more #political powers or trying to gain higher ranking political positions?
I have experiences with cops/RCMP sending sellout soul Asian officers to deal with me. I have experiences with cops/RCMP sending sellout soul Indigenous to deal with my Indigenous land defenders/water protectors on their own unceded lands too.
All ongoing WS colonialism driven evils. One Chinese RCMP guy was so heavily whitewashed - he's a fanboy of one of the most racist & violent COs in RCMP modern history. An Indigenous DLT RCMP guy was sent to tell natives to leave their own lands.
I just told the sellouts exactly what I thought of them. Both were so freaking uncomfortable around me. Both serve evil entities. Both violate & disrespect their own ancestors. Both got scared when I started doing regular night time drum & fire ceremonies. None of them knew what I was singing or talking about because Teochew is a relatively unknown language here. They thought I was an Asian witch.

These low brain cell cops don't know how to deal with women like me because we aren't scared of them & we are quicker in wit & we don't behave like activists they're used to dealing with. I actually got told/threatened by 2 different RCMP COs - they got dossier on me & I should watch my back. I said - That's a threat, you cowards. You, watch your fuxking backs. You're the ones ppl hate!
Here's the other thing: Colonial governments love exploiting #IdentityPolitics. They benefit from #BIPOC folks who suffer from #InternalizedRacism. It's part of the #DivideAndConquer colonialism playbooks. They provide extra rewards to #POC people who are willing to #whitewash & defend almost anything, to non-white folks willing to sell their souls & willing to enact harms on their own peoples. They depend on both #greed & #desperation to exploit BIPOC with internalized racism issues.
I'm speaking from both personal & 3rd party witnessed experiences. I have extended family members who suffer from internalized racism. I have had several Asian friends in past, with internalized racism. I have had to work with several Asian coworkers with internalized racism.
I don't go in depth or do long threads about any subjects that I don't have lived experiences with. Most folks figure that fact out, pretty fast. I've refused to talk in depth about subjects I'm inexperienced with.
Here's the thing: It's my #POC community & as I'm a part of that, some of my #responsibilities is to address it within that community. It's not #WhiteFolks' jobs to do that - calling out/calling in/educating #diaspora Asian folks suffering from #InternalizedRacism & hurting fellow #Asians.
Just like it's not POC's jobs to deal with white #racists - it's the responsibilities of white folks to deal with problematic bigots in their own communities.
I'm doing my best, to deal with problematic folks in my own POC communities. I ask that you please do your personal best to do similar work with problematic folks in your own communities too.
It takes a village - applies to a lot more than just raising children.

It's not about trying to convert anyone either. Although it'd be welcomed if more folks invested more efforts into decolonializing their own minds. It's more about having or gaining courage to have multiple different, meaningful conversations with folks in your community with internalized racism issues. They may not be aware of their own internalized racism. There's always risks that you'll be treated badly because you're challenging their WS indoctrination but it's a risk I'll keep taking.
When POC people who suffer from internalized racism attack me for trying to point out that is self & community harm - I try to keep in mind that no true growth happens for any living being without some levels of discomfort. If you're always comfy, you're likely not growing much at all.
