Since Biden had to work with Manchin & Sinema because not enough Americans bothered voting to give him a Congress that cared about our climate crisis obviously he had to make some concessions to the fossil fuel industry, but we'd be much worse off if he hadn't since we got a bunch of other good programs.
Also, because there's so much CO2 in our atmosphere already along with stopping to burn fossil fuels we have to drawdown billions of tons of it so we need to build the industry
We do need carbon capture, but only after we get off the fossil fuels.
Giving money to the fossil fuel industry so that they can hide behind a thin CCS veneer while they actually use the tax dollars for something that helps them pump yet more oil out of the ground is - let's be charitable and say "silly".
