@Axomamma Simba adored every pet that he lived with. This was his first dog. Beanie was pretty rough on the old man, she would sometimes make a running tackle that he didn’t have the energy to defend himself against but the dog was small and didn’t do too much. We lost Simba 6 months after we adopted Beanie. We have another cat (and dog) and the cat loves the dogs but they don’t really cuddle. The cat is the alpha in the house though. She is the new queen.
@kevbob It's so much fun to watch the generational changes in relationships. The cat that raised my current dog was raised by my previous dogs who in turn were raised by my previous cat. Despite being raised by a cat, current dog has an inexplicable fear of cats. Current cat didn't help when, as a tiny baby, she bit the dog on the regular because the dog wasn't producing milk for her.
