For the #MorningMoments let me ask each of you what the weather is like in your part of the world as well as what your plans are for the day?
For me, it's just a lazy, relaxing day. Not going to do much of anything other than play some Fortnite later this evening with friends like we normally do on Monday's.
@cliffwade in my part of the world it's already Tuesday (1:45am). I don't know if it'll be a rainy day like yesterday, but my plans are more or less the same for bot days: I will have the afternoon shift, I will spend the morning doing some chores or maybe some grocery shopping
@cliffwade supposed to be 87F here today and we are already under a severe thunderstorm watch. I already see them marching across my radar. Just a part of living in the southeast during summer.
@shortwavesurfer2009 We just got some rain so it's dropped down to about 78F right now. But it's humid out there unfortunately now due to the rain and the heat. Definitely all part of living in the south.
@cliffwade good day. It's currently 29⁰C (82°F) here in Spain. A cooler day than of late, but creeping up as the week progresses. It's sleepy time (aka afternoon Siesta) so everything closes for a few hours. The village is as silent as space as nothing is moving.
@cliffwade yes, Spain has a daily Siesta. Traditionally everything closes for the afternoon as it is too warm to work. Started with agriculture as you can't work the land in extreme heat.
For example: All local shops, supermarkets, fuel stations, banks, bars, cafes, pharmacy, town hall are closed around me. They will open again at roughly 5pm for a few hours.
This used to be all over Spain, but larger cities and tourists hotspots less so now.
@cliffwade Officially I have the day off. Unofficially it’s going to be a catch up up day where I get all the work I’m behind on done. Sim racing in the evening though, so not just all work all day.
I enjoy it for the most part. It is fun but I’m a bit burnt out of the Zelda scene. We played breath of the wild a ton prior to the release so it’s a lot of Zelda.
@Brianjames Gotcha. I started Tears of the Kingdom and then the Diablo IV came out and I decided to give it a try since I had never played any Diablo and absolutely loving it. So Zelda is on the back burner for a bit right now but it's super fun.
@bethroots Ugh, 90F is insanely hot as well, for me personally. We need cooler weather and we need it soon!
Genealogy is quite interesting and something I've never gotten into but something that I should get into. Would be interesting to find some relatives out there that I know very little to nothing about.
@mdmrn Weather here is 80F and supposed to be up around 88F I believe, which is way too hot for me. We're also supposed to get some rain today too I think. Not sure if that will cool things off a bit or make it more humid.
Very interesting on that post. It's got me thinking and trying to figure this one out.
@cliffwade Yea, that's hot. I think it's supposed to get up to 85 max here...but that could always change. No rain still. Haven't gotten any rain in a while - we really need it. Hopefully we get it later this week.
