I am impressed and so grateful to everyone who reached out to me about my question regarding where folks are using their #SteamDeck! I feel better about my purchase now. I do have a gaming #PC at home but plopping myself down on the couch in or bed with my SteamDeck is nice too.

As a quick follow up to this. I did get my #SteamDeck earlier this week. Before I even turned it on for the first time I had it pulled apart so I could upgrade the #SSD in it 🤓🤣 I ended up getting the cheaper model and slapped a 512GB SSD in there. However I've learned that a 1TB drive will also work so maybe I'll upgrade it again 🙄😅
@andypiper Ah yeah, I think the pricing is similar. I did see Sabrent pop up in my results too. I really should have gotten a 1TB in the first place 🤦🏼♂️
@jimmyb Nice to hear. I’m in Canada and still waiting for mine to ship. I got the 64GB model and have a 1TB SSD ready to go as soon as I get it. Just wish it would ship already!
@buffaloseven I ordered mine last Wednesday or so and it got here this past Tuesday. Way faster then I thought it would be considering the page said 1-2 weeks 😵💫 I am in Texas though.
@jimmyb Nice! Mines sitting at Packed Items waiting for courier pick-up; been like that for a couple days now. Really excited to get it, pop in the new SSD, and get it set up. Looking into Decky Loader for handy plugins, CryoUtilities, EmuDeck obviously, and Heroic Games Launcher for Epic & GoG games.
@jimmyb Got a backlog of games to play, but picked up Lonely Mountains: Downhill on sale because it see@a great for the Deck and I’m saving the obvious recommendation of Dredge for later.
@jimmyb I just wanted to follow up and say I got me Deck and it's such a cool gadget. Got a bunch of work stuff set up on the Unix side and got tons of games loaded up on the game side. Been playing Yakuza 0 and Lonely Mountains: Downhill a lot. It's definitely made my PC games way more accessible and I've been filling up some time I'd just waste with youtube or something actually enjoying games. A+ product.
