Uh, nevermind, I was going to do some shameless Digimon Cybersleuth advertising, but that feels more like classic megaten than Persona.

@lonelyautomata I have the Controllable Characters mod for FES, there also appears to be a newer "Direct Commands" mod that lets you switch between AI and player control plus some other bugfixes: https://gamebanana.com/mods/426860

Also isn't the PSP version the "visual novel"-esque one? I dunno. The PS2 one seems fine for me but I'm sure I'll inevitably break down and buy Reload when I have some extra cash and it's at a reasonable discount, like P5R

@rootcompute That's why I say "Not having to deal with the game being turned into a VN". All the ports until now have been based on Persona 3 Portable, while people really wanted the PS2 graphics + Persona 4-like control.
