I spent the better part of yesterday, and all day today trying to finish the first issue I have of N-Force, and it's finally ready!

I never had an issue of this before, but it's such a fun magazine, and I love the specially created artwork for each review, even though I'm not quite sure about the review setup at times.

N-Force 4 - October 1992 (UK) has just been added to the magazine catalogue.

Enjoy!

I really love all the hard work you do, bringing back those old magazine to life. 😊 I always look at the posts you share, though I don't always read the whole articles, depends on the game. 😊 But I'm sure many people enjoy seeing the old reviews about the games from "back in the days" 😉

@ShareYourGames thank you so much. 😊
Even after all these years, it’s still so much fun for me to discover new magazines.
I just wish they were easier to come by and I didn’t have to deal with all the scalpers jacking up the prices so much.

You're very welcome! And yeah, some scalpers can make things crazily expensive. Wish they could see your hard work to keeping the magazines around online and just donate them to you. 😊 But we can always dream, right 😉?

@OutofPrintArchive Do you have either issue of the NES only relaunch?

OutofPrintArchive,
@OutofPrintArchive@mstdn.games avatar

@yesterzine

I only have two issues in total right now. issue 5 and 6.
but I did order a couple more yesterday. So I should have 1-7 in a week or 2.
Nothing beyond that though.

@OutofPrintArchive It’s 12 or so before it splits in two so there’s a few to go.

@yesterzine
Oh right! I think I remember now!
I thought it was only a series of 15 issues and then it stopped.
But it turned into SNES Force and Sega Force, didn’t it?

@OutofPrintArchive SNES Force and N-Force. The latter being a NES only magazine in 1993 that predictably lasted two issues. If you’re bored I did an episode on it last year.

@yesterzine
Oh wow, I thought you meant SNES only before.
That's crazy!
I had no idea and now see it's labeled as Volume 2.
It can be so confusing how these magazines morph from one into another, get bought by a different publisher, got on for a bit and then end on a certain issue that people can't even be sure of was the last.

I thought I've seen it all by now, but this certainly is a new one! 😂

I'll watch the video tomorrow as I need to go to bed as I need to get up at 3:45AM for work.

@OutofPrintArchive They did the same with the Sega mags. Sega Force became Sega Force Mega and Sega Master Force. Thankfully because history's greatest console was involved, both survived the 7 months until the publisher went bust.

@yesterzine
That’s just insane! 😂
While I appreciate a magazine dedicated to 8-bit systems like this, it’s just not feasible at that time. Heck, a Game Boy or Game Gear only magazine would have made a ton more sense.

Anybody find it so weird that they go on about being the first and only NES magazine, like Club Nintendo Magazine never existed.

@OutofPrintArchive I had quite the rant in the episode about that one. :D

@yesterzine
I heard. Again and again and again. 😂

@OutofPrintArchive There's a decent payoff for that in the subsequent Sega Master Force episode too :D

@yesterzine I’ll be sure to catch that one this afternoon when I scan some more pages. 😄
