@eniko our current cat is a rescue who was declawed 😡

Had a previous cat get his claws stuck in his own skin while scratching and his brain just crashed immediately, we had to unhook him.

@eniko Yep, with the added complication that my cat hates to be picked up or handled (she's a Bombay so she has no independence and is a total lap cat, but it has to be on her terms).

So I need to be very careful when trying to help her; it's a balancing act between "she might hurt herself panicking if I pick her up" and "she might hurt herself panicking anyway".

@eniko Not furniture, but my cat has got caught on window screens multiple times.

Usually she'll be able to pull her claw free without freaking out too much. She does get panicky if she has a lot of trouble pulling out though.

@eniko Shine does this a lot, he is very dumb and clumsy, and very neurotic so trimming his claws is extremely difficult
