@skinnylatte yeah, this is such a nice focal length. I had been shooting with Summicron 40mm f/2 for years up until this summer. A super nice lens, which is in my understanding the same lens as your M-Rokkor but in a slightly different packaging

@skinnylatte I feel a fondness for for ~40mm, too, since using a Contax T with a Zeiss 38mm for concerts. What do you do for a finder? Use the 50mm frame lines and go out? I’m fussy and got a 40mm finder for the 40mm Heliar I got. I’ve been thinking about getting a Rokkor or Summicron-M 40. And stare with lust at a CL or CLE, neither of which I need. I need to sell some gear not buy it.

@joncallas I find the entire viewfinder of the M3 outside the frame lines is pretty accurate for 40mm. I also want a CLE. But I don’t need it.

@skinnylatte I haven't shot with my M3 for a while now! Really need to go out with it and slap in a roll of something... Portra? HP5... Hmmm... oh the choices!
