You must be the first one that I've seen who says Bluesky has a shot in this! I've been using it as well, here is what I wrote in a thread on Bluesky, I think it encapsulates my thoughts about it very nicely.

I can't wait for Bluesky to have its own instances, so I can move out from the official one. Preferably to an art-focused one. This place is so loud, it's insane. Meanwhile, Meta/Instagram are releasing a Twitter clone/competitor (it'll be called Threads, most likely) this summer. I'll have to pick one, eventually. Instagram's offering looks appealing, as I've already got some following there. But I also like Bluesky's username approach. AT Protocol feels more solid than ActivityPub, if that makes sense [note: I was thinking about its ability to have your domain as your username when I wrote this]. Still, I don't know if Bluesky is worth the grind. Building an audience is a full time job, and having done that for brands for 11 years in the past (as strategist/copywriter), I know that I won't be having a good time. I really like ActivityPub enabled networks (Threads will also be one of them). Mastodon is beautiful, but my professional and social circles simply don't exist on it. This transition period of the social web is a bit painful for me.
