Magic moment. No wind, just white, open landscape, snow covered hills. -15°C but the sun so strong, it makes it feel warm like a gentle kiss. Blue sky, not a single cloud. And opposite an almost full moon.
The scene looks like from some other planet, like Star Wars. CGI rendered, otherworldly.
The whole day was like that. Just floating through white landscape. A handful of people swooshing by on snow mobiles wearing capes and ponchos. Cutting through the scenery in straight lines, like pearls. Dragging long, large sleds behind with unknown freight. If George Lukas got his inspiration from somewhere, I think I know where from.
Made it to Helags (about 110km on my route). Will take some days off to wait out a storm. Also, my body just needs it. Every now and then I got a glimpse of the sun, despite all this hard work, I feel really blessed.
@derpostillon ich hab mal vorgeschlagen, man könnte die Schnellstraße vor meiner Haustür auf 70 begrenzen, weil für die 5km macht das zeitlich ohnehin praktisch keinen Unterschied. Da war was los!
