I finally got sick of being annoyed by my crappy old spinner carry on suitcase. It's like one of those shopping carts that has a mind of its own and goes in directions you don't want.

I started shopping for a replacement to bring to Deep Dish.

I disregarded some initial picks because they were bigger than the (USA) standard 22 x 14 x 9.

I finally got around to measuring my current suitcase and it's bigger than 22 x 14 x 9. 😬

    I need a tracking tool for gameplay sessions.

    Most apps I see focus on the overall status of a game in my library. But that only changes every few months – I often don’t have a reason to open the app on a daily basis.

    Meanwhile, if I could track while I’m playing, I’d have the app open every night and log multiple times a night…

    iOS 17.4 adds new public API for interfacing with Apple Translate. It's not documented yet, but it's really easy to use in SwiftUI. (See reply for code sample)

    #MyFirstMac was the 2010 15” MacBook Pro. I had just moved to the US a few months prior, I was 16 and in high school. With it I started learning how to program with Objective-C and iOS 4. Used it for 7 years and still have it sitting in a closet.

    This was me the morning I got it at a Best Buy 😅 #blunderyears

    Have any #unions for tech workers explicitly focused on temporary worker visa holders? Surely #H1B visa holders would benefit a ton from a union that protects them from being taken advantage of by their employers?

    Legitimately skeptical anytime someone says that they actually like winter.

    @MuseumShuffle @ioloro As somebody who’s lived most of my life in places with no winter, I’ve learned that there’s a big difference between playing out in fresh snow (including sports) which I tremendously enjoy, and when I have to go out and do chores in these conditions 😭

    So I’d say I do like some aspects of winter. Plus it really makes me look forward to and appreciate spring and summer more, unlike when I was living in Florida 🥵
