The best way to show someone how great modern Linux has gotten is to have them set up a new computer dual booting Windows and Linux. I’m helping onboard some colleagues with new laptops and the only complaints are with Windows, not Endless OS. 😝

I wrote a matrix digital rain implementation in under 50 lines of pure Bash.. I chose Bash due to it being widely installed and extremely portable. With modern systems this shouldn't cause any noticable performance changes and seems more than efficent so far

I wish I had a home office I could retreat to. Our home is modest. Our “office” is the middle room and a thoroughfare. It’s not ideal. But also it’s not quiet.

There’s lots of stuff I would do if I had a decent space.

Perhaps I don’t actually need one though? Am I overthinking? Procrastinating?

@ross I hear you.. With kids running around, coding in the living room isn't simple for me. I still manage but I'm always curious how efficent I'd be if I could think clearly

I wrote a stupid simple bash script to bootstrap Arch and it's always up to date. It uses the methods defined on the ArchWiki directly to build an installer environment capable of running on any Unix system
