My heart aches for the children who will no longer have access to their local library because some arrogant assholes decided to be offended by books with new ideas and different perspectives.
I'm going to Japan soon, so I wanted to talk to one of the experts, Life Where I'm From, about what I should look for when I'm there, and we ended up having a great conversation about why Japan has stayed (relatively) affordable while other developed nations have not!
Hear our conversation in the latest episode of the Urbanist Agenda podcast (currently early-access for Nebula supporters, public release next week).
I have had a base model M1 Air ever since it came out. Itโs been great, but the battery is pretty bad at the moment (around 77% at best). Also, because itโs only the 8GB model, Iโm starting to notice some slowdowns.
Do you think it would be worth it to invest in the new M3 Air? Iโm planning to get the 16 or 24GB model this time.
I donโt want a Pro because itโs too big, and refurbished isnโt an option either (no refurbished store).
@davidbures Have you priced a battery replacement for your Air? Unless the memory shortage is really pinching, it should be more cost effective than buying a new machine.
@deborahh I find that the reading experience on a dedicated e-reading device like Kindle is much nicer than using a phone or tablet. Less distracting notifications badgering you, too. And if you leave it in airplane mode you can read past the due date.
The debut of the Defiant! Back in the mid '90s, I recall there was feedback on the online forums that the show didn't have a starship. While the runabouts were ok, some wanted a more powerful Starfleet ship presence.
While this ship use a different design than the "twin nacelles on pylons" look, it certainly packs a punch.
I saw some of his art online and thought it looked like โInvisible Handsโ from Liquid Television, which I LOVED. Same artist! This didnโt have quite the same level of twisted, creepiness as that animated series, but I was so happy to find his work in comic form. Thereโs more too.
